About the organisation
BLINK Dance Theatre performs, facilitates, trains and teaches multi-sensory and inclusive work across London. Guided by ‘Nothing About Us Without Us,’ we value, nurture and centre the input of Neurodivergent and Learning Disabled People. Led by four neurodiverse Co-Directors, two of whom are Learning Disabled, we have taken a fresh approach to what leadership has traditionally looked like. This has enabled us to invent our own path, be creative, and thrive.
In 2023 we became part of Arts Council England’s National Portfolio, in 2024 we became a charity. Now, 2025 is another exciting year for BLINK! We are opening a new studio space in Nine Elms, Wandsworth, to root us in a new area and expand our reach. Alongside this, we want to prioritise strengthening our inclusive foundations, diversifying our income, and building our impact on the wider sector.
About the role
We would like to do a short term project before the start of the new academic year to focus our finances around things that are critical to our mission. The aim will be to make our organisation more focused, resilient and dynamically able to weather storms and be open to relevant opportunities. This is especially the case as we open our own new studio in Nine Elms.
To do this, we will gather information from the team to look at how we are meeting and/or straying from our objectives. Then I would like support with improving our financial modelling and evaluation. So far, we have good systems in place with accurate quarterly management accounts and good coding systems. I think it's now about using the data in the best way possible and that's what we would like support with.
Our ideal candidate
Ideally we would like someone with:
- Experience of management accounting with good analytical skills and technical knowlege.
- Knowledge of charity accounting/restricted funding.
- Good excel skills.
What’s in it for you
This is a crucial moment for BLINK. We want to resist growing without having a good foundation to build on. By working with us you'd be instrumental in supporting us to achieve this. We believe that with this, we can be exemplary in good financial management, growing in a sustainable and exciting way.
In return we can bring you in and share how our organisation has worked and thrived to date, and anything else you might want to know more about! We have a lot to give. We are especially knowledgable about theatre, dance, facilitation, inclusion, disability, learning disabiliy and neurodivergence.
