About the organisation
We are a very small charity which provides financial support to a small primary school in a deprived part of South London. At present we are focussed on raising funds to support significant mental health issues which have appeared in many of our most vulnerable children. The local authority child services team are completely overwhelmed with demand therefore we feel we need to try to support the children.
About the role
Our charity is required to produce annual accounts and we have historically been able to get an accountancy firm to complete the accounts / independent assessment at a reduced cost. This is no longer possible therefore we are looking for somebody suitably qualified in the UK as an independent examiner to create our annual accounts for the year ending April 2025.
Our ideal candidate
Has appropriate UK (or equivalent) accountancy / independent examination qualifications to create and approve our finances and draw up our accounts. Generally we only have under 30 transactions per year although we do have some funds invested in stocks and shares which are managed by a fund manager.
What’s in it for you
By creating our annual accounts a candidate is indirectly supporting the work of our charity and so will be delivering benefits to over 200 children and staff at our school.
