Charterpath and Marks Sattin team up to inspire more accountants to volunteer their time and expertise.
London, September 26, 2022 - Charterpath, the new community for accountants volunteering in the non-profit sector, today announced the launch of a strategic partnership with the leading financial services recruitment specialist Marks Sattin.
With 7 offices across the UK, Ireland and Europe, Marks Sattin work with over 100,000 accounting professionals every year to help them find their next exciting opportunity. They will be promoting Charterpath’s volunteer opportunities across their network and supporting with a series of events to build out Charterpath’s community of volunteer accountants.
“At Marks Sattin, we place talented finance professionals in a range of businesses, from disruptive start-ups to FTSE 100 businesses. We are committed to developing careers and want to help people achieve their career goals and excel in their chosen profession,” said Alistair Paterson, Commercial Director for UK&I at Marks Sattin.
“Our partnership with Charterpath enables us to connect our network with fulfilling volunteering opportunities and make a real impact to societal challenges while helping people from all backgrounds grow their careers and develop new skills.”
Charterpath was founded in 2020 by two chartered accountants, Alice Clementi and Alex Marsh, as charities and the wider non-profit sector faced unprecedented challenges from the COVID-19 pandemic - with 60% reporting a loss of income, a third experiencing a shortage of volunteers, and 1 in 10 facing financial failure.
“As the non-profit sector now faces the double whammy of the pandemic and the escalating cost of living crisis, we are hugely grateful that Marks Sattin are supporting our mission at Charterpath to inspire more accountants to volunteer their time and expertise,” said Alice Clementi, Co-founder of Charterpath.
“With their unrivalled network of accounting professionals in the UK, the team at Marks Sattin recognise the many benefits of volunteering for accountants, both personally and professionally, alongside the massive untapped potential to support the financial health of non-profits.”
Over the past 18 months Charterpath has already built a diverse and highly engaged community of over 1,000 accountants, having successfully connected volunteer accountants with non-profits ranging from The Trussell Trust, to Together founded by the Archbishop of Canterbury, the Scouts and Manchester Deaf Centre. This strategic partnership with Marks Sattin will help Charterpath reach a much wider audience and in turn provide more volunteer support for non-profits across the UK urgently in need of financial expertise.
